In addition to the Walk, participants can enjoy parking lot activities, games, food, musical entertainment, demonstrations, pet contests and more. Plus, over 40 local vendors will be on-hand with information relevant to animal-lovers.

Walkers are asked to gather pledges to help support the animals of TAHS. Participation and gathering pledges is even easier with our online registration! You can create your own personal fundraising page where you can effortlessly and securely collect pledges from friends, family and co-workers. Set a goal for yourself or assemble a team and collect as a group! Through your personal fundraising page, you can keep track of your progress and see who is leading the pack in donations. Even if you cannot attend the day of the event, your personal fundraising page will allow you to support TAHS from home!

Each walker raising $25 or more in donations will receive a t-shirt for their particpation and support*. Special prizes will also be given to top individuals and teams in different categories. All winners will be announced on our website following the walk.

*'Virtual Walkers' who raise at least $25 but do not participate in the Walk are eligible for a t-shirt, but must be able to pick it up from the Toledo Area Humane Society no later than May 31, 2012.*

This is a fundraiser to raise money and donate to the Melanoma Research Foundation in memory of my son, Erik Hartzell. Erik passed away from this disease on May 22, 2011 at the age of 25. There is no cure for this disease and only a couple of FDA approved treatments, and they don't work all that well. Someone dies every hour of every day of melanoma.

Oregon Fest is a community event held each year on the third Sunday in May. It's a free family festival that includes stage entertainment, amusement rides, a variety of foods, contests, a classic car show, art and craft show, Civil War reenactors, exhibits of non-profit groups & local businesses, health information and screenings by two hospitals and a Grand Parade of over 100 units. Oregon Fest showcases the best of the community and is a fun festival that welcomes over 10,000 people.

Adults $15; Students $10.

Music includes a Tribute to Irving Berlin, a George M. Cohan Salute, selections from Korngold's "Much Ado about Nothing," Herbert's "American Rhapsody, Geroge Gershwin's "Strike Up the Band," "Charleston Rag" and "Twentiana." Fr. Jeremiah Williamson, Rector of St. Andrew's, will sing "The Way You Look Tonight," as a tribute to their young son, and students of the Toledo Symphony School of Music will perform a selection.

"We are excited to host more than 50 musicians from the Toledo Symphony and have Ann Abor resident and Detroit Symphony conductor, Christopher James Lees, as part of this special event," says Ellen Critchley, concert committee chairperson. "We are particularly pleased to have our own Fr. J perform, backed up by the TSO."

St. Andrew's continues to host concerts as a way to bring affordable music to the community and to invite some guests who could not otherwise attend. This year, tickets have been donated to some students at McKinley School and other guests.

The public is welcome to attend the concert and the reception with the conductor and musicians.
